Why Your Website Gets Traffic But No Enquiries

Getting visitors to your site is only half the battle. Here's why they're leaving without contacting you.

The traffic is there. So where are the leads?

You're getting visitors. Google Analytics shows decent numbers. Maybe you're even running ads that drive hundreds of clicks a month. But the phone isn't ringing and the inbox is empty.

This is one of the most frustrating problems in digital marketing. And it's more common than you think.

Your Website Isn't the Problem. Your Conversion Path Is.

Most business owners blame their website design when leads dry up. But usually the issue isn't how the site looks — it's how it guides visitors toward taking action.

Here are the most common conversion killers we find in audits:

No Clear Call to Action

If a visitor lands on your page, can they immediately tell what you want them to do? "Contact us" buried in the footer isn't good enough. Your primary CTA should be visible within 2 seconds of landing on any page.

What works: A clear, benefit-driven button above the fold. Not "Submit" or "Contact" — try "Get Your Free Quote" or "Book a Free Consultation."

Too Many Choices

When you give people too many options, they choose none. This is called the paradox of choice and it kills conversions.

If your homepage has 15 different service links, 3 phone numbers, a live chat widget, and a newsletter popup, you're overwhelming visitors. Simplify. One primary action per page.

No Trust Signals

People buy from businesses they trust. If your website has no reviews, no testimonials, no case studies, and no recognisable logos, visitors have no reason to believe you'll deliver.

Quick wins: Add Google reviews, client logos (with permission), and a brief case study showing real results.

Slow Load Time

If your site takes more than 3 seconds to load, you're losing visitors before they even see your content. Google's own data shows that 53% of mobile visitors leave a page that takes longer than 3 seconds to load.

Check yours: Go to PageSpeed Insights and test your URL. If you're scoring below 70 on mobile, there's work to do.

Your Form Asks Too Much

We've seen contact forms with 12+ fields. Nobody has time for that. Every field you add reduces your completion rate. Name, email, and one question about their needs. That's usually enough to start a conversation.

The Fix Is Usually Simpler Than You Think

Most conversion problems can be fixed in a few days, not months. It's about removing friction, adding trust, and making the next step obvious.

A proper conversion audit will pinpoint exactly where visitors are dropping off and what changes will have the biggest impact.
