Movement, breath,
and a moment to think.
A small yoga studio for practitioners, not perfectionists.
Stillness is a small studio above an old printing house on Brighton's North Laine. Two practice rooms, six teachers, and a community of around 200 regulars.
We teach yoga as movement, breath, and rest — not as a fitness class. No music in most classes. No mirrors. No pressure to take the picture.
Quiet rooms, serious practice.

What we offer.
Studio passes from £18. Membership from £85/month for unlimited.
Vinyasa Flow
Strong, breath-led practice. Beginners welcome — we teach from the ground up.
Iyengar Foundations
Slower, alignment-led. Great for injury recovery, beginners, or precision-seekers.
Restorative
Long-held supported postures with bolsters and blankets. Properly restful.
Yin
Long-held floor poses to work into the deeper connective tissue. Quiet, slow, hard.
Beginners' Course
Six-week beginners' course running monthly. £95 for the whole programme.
1:1 Sessions
Private one-to-one sessions, in-studio or remote. £75/hr or £200 for three.
Three things that make us different.
Quiet rooms
We don't play music in most classes. The teacher's voice and your own breath are enough.
Real teaching
Our teachers all have 500+ hours and 5+ years experience. No-one's reading from a script.
Small classes
Capped at 14. Real adjustments, real attention, real support.
“Stillness is the only studio I've found in Brighton where the teachers actually teach. It's saved my back, my sleep, and probably my marriage.”
