Threshold is a specialty coffee roastery and cafe at the south end of Margate seafront. We roast on a 12kg drum twice a week — small batches, direct-trade beans, never older than ten days when it leaves the building.
We started in 2021 with one origin and one machine. Four years later we've worked with growers across Ethiopia, Colombia, Rwanda and Brazil — and we still roast everything ourselves.

The Cafe
Open 8-4 daily. Espresso bar, batch brew, pastries from local bakeries.
Beans (250g)
Whole bean or ground. Roasted weekly, shipped tracked-24h, never older than 10 days.
Subscriptions
Single origin or rotating selection. Pause, skip, swap anytime.
Wholesale
We supply ~12 cafes across Kent and East London. Training and machine support included.
Brewing Classes
Monthly home brewing classes — espresso setups, V60, AeroPress, French press.
Office Setups
Set up a proper coffee bar in your office. Machine, training, weekly bean delivery.

Specialty Only
Cup score 84+ minimum. We only buy coffee that's worth drinking black.
Light to Medium
We roast to highlight origin character — never burned, never bland. Same approach every batch.
Fresh, Always
Roasted weekly. We won't ship coffee older than 14 days. Stale coffee is a waste of everyone's time.
