Terms of Service

Last updated: April 2026

These terms govern your use of BrightClick services, including our £50 instant website product, ongoing hosting plans, audits, and any other digital marketing services we provide. By purchasing from us or using our services, you agree to these terms.

1. Who we are

BrightClick is a UK-based digital agency operating from brightclick.co.uk. Contact: hello@brightclick.co.uk.

2. Services we provide

We design, build, and host websites for UK small businesses. We also provide PPC audits, SEO, Google Business Profile setup, and related marketing services. Specific deliverables are defined at the point of purchase (e.g. the £50 instant website product) or agreed in writing for bespoke projects.

3. Pricing and payment

Our standard website product is charged at £50 setup + £15 per month hosting, both payable at the point of sign-up. The £15 monthly fee is billed on the same date each month via Stripe subscription. Custom builds and discounted rates are agreed separately in writing.

Prices are in GBP and do not currently include VAT (we will register for VAT once we exceed HMRC thresholds and pricing will update accordingly).

4. Your subscription

  • Your £15/month hosting auto-renews monthly until cancelled.
  • You can cancel any time via the customer portal or by emailing hello@brightclick.co.uk.
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid month.
  • Once your subscription ends, we may take your website offline and release the .co.uk domain (subject to a 30-day grace period where possible).
  • Failed payments follow Stripe's retry schedule. After 14 days of unsuccessful retries, the subscription and site may be suspended.

5. Refunds

The £50 setup fee is non-refundable once your site has gone live, as the work has been performed. If you change your mind before your site goes live, contact us within 7 days of payment and we'll refund the setup fee in full. Monthly hosting fees already paid are non-refundable — you can cancel to prevent future charges.

6. Domain names

Where we register a .co.uk domain on your behalf, it is registered in your name and you own it. On cancellation, you can transfer the domain to another registrar. We reserve the right to charge a reasonable admin fee (currently £0) for domain transfers.

7. What you own, what we own

  • You own: your domain name, your business name and branding, any content/images you supply, and the final website copy once delivered.
  • We own: our underlying platform, templates, code frameworks, and any tools we use to generate and host your site. You don't get a copy of the underlying codebase.
  • If you cancel, we can provide an export of your public site content in HTML on request.

8. Your responsibilities

  • Provide accurate business information (name, address, phone).
  • Ensure you have the legal right to use any images, content, or trademarks you supply.
  • Comply with all applicable UK laws when operating your business through the site (e.g. trading standards, consumer rights).
  • Don't use the site for anything illegal, misleading, or harmful — including scams, misleading advertising, or content that breaches others' rights.

9. Our responsibilities

  • Deliver your website within the timeframe stated at purchase (typically 24 hours for the £50 product).
  • Keep your site online with industry-standard uptime (typically 99%+).
  • Provide reasonable support via email during UK business hours.
  • Handle your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
  • Notify you in advance of any material changes to pricing or service.

10. Content changes and edits

Reasonable content updates (text edits, phone number changes, service additions) are included in your monthly hosting. Large rebuilds, new pages, or custom development are quoted separately at our standard rates.

11. Third-party services

Your site may rely on services we use under the bonnet (hosting, email, payment processing). We choose reliable UK/EU providers but are not liable for outages or data loss caused by their services beyond reasonable steps to mitigate impact.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent allowed by law, our total liability under these terms (including for lost business, lost data, or consequential loss) is capped at the amount you have paid us in the 12 months prior to the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your service if you breach these terms — for example, non-payment after retries, illegal use, or abusive behaviour towards our team. We'll always try to resolve issues fairly before terminating.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be emailed to active clients at least 30 days before taking effect. The current version is always at brightclick.co.uk/terms.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
